If Jesus was an old lady, I would help her take out the garbage.

And by garbage I mean the Bush Administration.

The king is dead! Long live the king!

The king of my life is dead.  The past 6+ years are now a faint memory.

All it takes is a simple action every day for the rest of my life and everything is clearer.

My outlook on life in general, and living my "new" life in the future is my new focus.

LONG LIVE THE KING!

Problems with Mountain America Credit Union

I am going to begin logging errors received while attempting to use Mountain America Credit Union's Online banking website.

I am sick.

I blame my girlfriend.

Google Talk Available Early! Screenshots howto use PSI with Jabber/GTalk

Slashdot Story
Smash's Original(?) Story

Here's a set of screenshots of howto setup PSI, it's very easy, and feel free to add me and say hi.  I'll leave it running 24/7.  I cannot wait to see Google's client, because just like GMail, I have high expectations after their UI skills have been demonstrated in such wonderful fashion.

Add a wing, it'll add 200 horsepower.

When you own a car that makes under 100 horsepower at the wheels, and you want to make it go faster, what the heck do you do?  I've got the answer, just add a gigantic, absolutely useless spoiler.

It's not even RWD, c'mon!

I am sick.

Every year and a half or so I get sick.  The rest of the time I pride myself in being a young adult -- healthy human being.  But when I do get sick, it's always a super-bug.

Currently I've had a fever of approx 104° for the past 72 hours.  I've been controlling it with Advil and Tylenol (ibuprofen + acetaminophen).  I've currently got 1000mg of acetaminophen swirling around in my stomach and I'm just waiting for it to kick in.

I've got a dry, non-productive cough that only disappears when treated with hard candy or anesthetic spray -- cough suppressants aren't working too well, which really sucks.

At least I'm able to keep things in order, but I've gotten around 60 hours sleeping in 3 days -- that I can't control.

I really hope my condition starts to improve over the next 16 hours or I will not be going to work.  :(

MSN Messenger 7.0.0777 Released -- Patch Available

Quoted from:  http://msnblog.stuffplug.com/

Looks like Microsoft decided to release the final of MSN Messenger a bit earlier (or, they didn’t intend to and it got leaked ;-)). Either way, here is a direct link to the latest MSN Messenger 7 build (funnily enough being 0777) from Microsoft.com!

Personally I dislike the new icons for the “Away” and “Busy” statusses (and yes, the other statusses too). They look quite crappy now. The rest all looks pretty familiar to those who already have the somewhat older builds (0732 for example). I for one welcome the new Gleams, and they also seemed to have fixed the “inaccurate” problem with MSN Spaces syndication! :-)

Have fun messing around with it!

Update: Msgr Ghost, a very nice patch for MSN Messenger, is now compatible with the latest build of MSN Messenger. I suggest you grab a copy of it and start patching your client! (In addition, Volvok has updated his MSN Messenger Hex Editting Tutorial).

It looks like A-Patch by ahmz055 is now compatible as well (looks like they both beat Mess Patch to it, again ;-)). Oh and, if you made a nice tool for MSN Messenger 7 please inform us!

I love this gadget! I posted this from it.

Utah governor signs Net-pron bill

Cnet Article

Oh my... This is going to be struck down, quickly, by appeals.

And the Governor could care less, according to the article:
Spokesman Tammy Kikuchi said Monday that Huntsman "doesn't have a concern about
       the constitutional challenge."

This is pathetic.  I'm going to call my ISP and demand they remove all adult content from my internet connection... BAH!

Just cough up the money for NetNanny or use other parental controls software and you're set... There's no reason for the ISP to have to baby-sit the contents of what is transmitted to a customer, all the ISP does is provide the link, the customer is the one who must secure their system.

I thought Utah legislature was operating from a different planet before this, know I know it's true.

So I finally bought the Motorola MPx220.

After months of debating to take the plunge or not, I've decided to buy it.

Got a 3 month old used phone on eBay with a $50 256MD storage card for $285, which is a steal compared to the $450 I would have paid for it brand spanking new.  :)

So I'm a happy man.  I'm just waiting for the phone to reach my doorstep and I will be ecstatic.  I don't think it will be my last smart-phone.  This generation of smart-phones are SO close to being perfect devices.  Just a bit of spit and polish and then the general public will accept these as second nature, especially when they are free with contract.

Each device that I seriously considered had more than a few publicly known flaws, and the MPx220 is no exception.

Short list of things that I know of:

1)  Does not support the "hands-free" Bluetooth profile, which means you must use the phone to make calls, you cannot voice dial.
2)  Volume -- with older ROM versions the handset volume was unacceptably low.
3)  Only 32MB of RAM, with 64MB of ROM.  Basically this means that although you can multitask, you're better off running one program at once.
4)  Incompatibility with certain brands of Mini-SD cards.
5)  Windows Media Player 9.  This is not a huge problem, but WMP 10 makes life easier (so I hear)
6)  Windows Mobile 2005 is right around the corner -- devices running the new OS are going to be in stores this year.  This means planned obsolescence is also going to be coming soon.

Now for the good stuff:
1)  Up to 1GB of storage expandability.
2)  Quad-band means it'll work ANYWHERE around the world with a cellular GSM signal.
3)  Clamshell = no broken screens, an issue I had with my previous PDAs.
4)  ROM updates -- Motorola is looking very good from my point of view -- there are problems, and if feasible, they are remedied asap.
5)  Pocket Internet Explorer
6)  Bluetooth keyboard, no shit.

And I could go on and on, but I wont.  I think I'm going to love my new phone.

Motorola MPx220

A cell phone with a 3GB hard drive inside of it (The black picture).  Insane.

Well, not really insane, now that I think of it.  I'm buying a phone this weekend ( The Motorola MPx220 -- silver phone picture )that'll have 1GB of storage via a MiniSD slot... I'll listen to MP3s and WMAs and watch WMVs on it...whee.

Here's a video of the MPx220 in action... it's just a little demo video directly from Microsoft, so it's fairly banal.  http://www.windowsmobiletraining.com/content/resources/videos/motorola_med.wmv

The MPx220 can browse the web using PocketIE, send email using Pocket Outlook, and even connect to IRC chat networks using this little gem:  ( http://www.msmobiles.com/news.php/3676.html ) ... whee.

1.23 Megapixel Camera, Quadband GSM smartphone... whee.

The day I have been waiting for is when I can flip open my phone and have the Star Trek communcator ( http://www.barbneal.com/wav/trektos/kirk/kirk10.wav ) sound play ( and do the commuicator sound justice ) will soon be here... whee.

Maybe I'm just a geek, but I think having a phone with 1GB+ of storage inside of it isn't total overkill.

No updates for quite some time.

Sorry about that folks. :)

Just f**king gizoogle it!

MSN RSS Directory & More

The My MSN RSS aggregation beta and the MSN RSS Directory are now LIVE.

Find RSS or ATOM feeds on the Internet and add them directly to your My MSN homepage.  Show articles from 1 day old to up to 365 days old, display 1 to 30 articles, and choose to show articles as a tool tip or following the article headline/subject.

Of course, just like other My MSN modules, you can collapse or expand modules to your heart's content.  There are some other updates to the My MSN service as well, see if you can find them.

In the MSN RSS Directory, you can find the current feeds published by MSN properties like MSNBC, MSN Music, and Autos.  It is your one-stop shop for syndicated MSN content!

This is a big step for My MSN - no longer are you confined to the feeds MSN has chosen for you; you can go out and find your own.  Your portal page will truly be yours.  Have fun with it!
